Achievements

Since its inception in March 2008, Samasta has achieved significant milestones. Samasta has spread its tentacles in the states of Karnataka and Tamilnadu impacting the lives of people, especially women, substantially.
There has been a constant upward movement in terms of growth. The number of branches grew to 29 in 2011 from just 7 in 2008. Samasta centers too have multiplied and as of 2011 there are 2810 centers serving 16,714 members in urban, semi-urban and rural areas.
The concept of microfinance has gained significance among the lower sections of the society who have been denied financial assistance by mainstream financial institutions and banks. This is clearly evident from the increase in the loan disbursed, which stands above 82.5 crores.
