The role of microfinance has a positive impact on the society in more ways than one. It plays an important role in eliminating poverty in the society. Women, who benefit from microfinance, are now self-sustainable and income generators in the family. They are more independent and less dependent on external forces for financial assistance.
Women help to bring in additional income to the family for food, education of the children and healthcare needs of the family members. Access to safe drinking water and sanitation are no longer considered a luxury. The increased income has enabled them to maintain regular savings, which was once impossible.
While there is an increase in social security, there is also a sense of satisfaction and joy in the family.
